Your vet is the best person to be answering these questions. The bloating may be an indication of internal bleeding; anemia is often a sign of another condition. Hemolytic anemia can be due fast-growing tumors on organs such as the spleen or liver. When these tumors rupture, internal bleeding can cause severe anemia as well as bloating. X-rays and ultrasound might be helpful in determining if there are tumors. I would go with whatever the vet recommends, best of luck to you.
