Why do liberals believe Obama is going to lower the deficit?

No one knows why they believe that truly. Other than an irrational hatred for two individuals that formerly occupied the White House, focus is lost completely. I wish people would start looking at the here and now--yes, Bush started it, but Obama is going to finish it off. The time for partisan b.s. is over, no matter which side you land on--we all pay the price.
