Good bike. The advantages of a GT also is that they are given leeway by their manufacturer to ship them, rather than just purchasing them from an lbs. HOWEVER, I'm a huge proponent of proper fit and the service that an lbs can give. This bike is your barebones, entry into mountain biking, comparable to a Cannondale f7, Trek 4300, Specialized Hardrock, or Giant Rincon (now Revel 1). Haro Flightline and KHS Alites are also worth a look. If it fits properly, no regrets, enjoy your bike!!
