Does your hospital have a recovery room?

I would check with your Dr. but I do believe that is for the C-Section patients to recover in immediately after surgery until they are transferred to their postpartum room. They usually are not in there very long, just a couple of hours so a nurse can monitor them. C-Sections are so common that we sometimes forget that they are indeed Major Surgery. Like most patients recovering from surgery they need to be closely monitored for a short time. At the hospital I deliver at you labor, deliver and recover in the same room and a few hours postpartum (about 2-3) you are moved to a postpartum room where mom and baby stay until you are discharged.
