What right does Ian Huntley have to claim compensation?
He wasn't sectioned under the mental health act and incarcerated for his own safety, he was charged put on trial and convicted for murdering two children and declared sane. He was scalded and then had his throat cut in prison, now it isn't the right of any prisoner to exact vengeance they are in prison after all as punishment. But Huntley as a convicted criminal was put in with other convicted criminals, isn't that like sticking your arm in through the lions cage at the zoo when there is a public safety disclaimer on show? I see no failure in the prison service, he is a convicted criminal in a prison and was attacked by other convicted criminals. How can he think he even has a case?
