Why is it that when the left protests, be it about Iraq or the IMF/World Bank or the environment...?

Republicans think that they are patriotic and liberals aren't. When liberals protest the government, they are being anti-american. When republicans do it, they are being patriotic... they are also being patriotic because this America is the "greatest country", can do no wrong, and wear their flag pins and are "real americans".. oh yea and liberals hate america
